AnnMarie graduated from the Capri Institute of Cosmetology in New Jersey in 1990. Since graduating, she has continued her education by completing the Oribe Backstage, Arrojo Razor Cutting, Candy Shaw Sunlights Balayage, Wella Advanced Education, and Martin Parson’s Updo Specialist trainings. She specializes in updos, special occasion & wedding styles, and balayage. Since being in the beauty industry, she has found that when you look in the mirror and like what you see, you become empowered to take on the world and do what you were meant to do, and she loves helping facilitate that for her clients. She enjoys using all of the tools she has gathered to give her clients the best look for their natural features, desired maintenance and lifestyles.
Emily grew up in a salon atmosphere with her grandma and always enjoyed playing with hair, so cosmetology school was a natural step for her. She graduated from Regency Beauty Institute in 2012, and has since become an American Board Certified Hair Colorist. She has completed Sunlights Balayage training, Bumble & Bumble hair styling training, and Wella hair colour training. She enjoys both colouring and cutting, and especially loves doing blondes and bobs! Her goal is always to make sure her clients never have a bad hair day.
After receiving my cosmetology degree from Springfield Beauty Academy in Virginia, I’m now licensed in the states of Missouri and Colorado as a hairstylist. I’ve attended seminars with stars in the industry such as Matt Beck, Sam Villa, Martin Parson, Philip Wolf, and Alfredo Louis. I’ve also attended several international beauty shows such as IBS New York, Fashion Focus DC, and Orlando Premier.
My work experience includes Aveda salons in Missouri and Colorado.
My work also includes a very successful YouTube channel educating my thousands of fans throughout the world on hair. Another goal is to be a platform artist to inspire people to be creative and imaginative in the world of hairstyling.
Nicole fell in love with doing hair in a summer school class her freshman year of high school, and began her career after graduating from cosmetology school at Sunstate Academy in Clearwater, Florida in 2008. She is certified in Loreal color and balayage, and has attended numerous Premier Orlando hair shows, where she has completed advanced training in updos, color, highlights, and razor hair cutting. Her experience has taught her not to categorize everyone’s hair the same, as everyone has different densities, textures, and desires. She is a certified yoga teacher, Reiki healer, and an Ayurvedic Practitioner, and she utilizes the knowledge she has gained through those avenues to understand and connect with her clients. Nicole is new to Boulder, and is excited to continue getting to know the area and building a foundation here.
Shortly after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Tucson in 2012, Amelia moved to Colorado and began the new stylist hair colour and cutting education program we have at Colours. She has since completed a 3 day intensive women’s cutting class with Sally Rogerson, the Creative Coloring and Cutting Class with Unite, and several technical colour classes with Wella and All Nutrient. She loves highlighting hair and specializes in natural, blended blondes. She also loves texturizing and personally tailoring women’s cuts to give a unique style. She has learned that taking good care of your hair, and getting a cut and colour that are well suited to you and your lifestyle makes life so much easier.
Bethany completed our in-salon hair colour and hair cutting apprenticeship program after graduating from Regency Beauty Institute in Fort Collins at the beginning of 2015. She continues to further her knowledge through in-salon cutting and colouring classes, product training through Oribe and Kerastase, and The Best of the Best hair show in Denver. While she was growing up, she started to do her friend’s and family’s hair and makeup for special events, and she noticed the boost in confidence and self-love that it gave them, and she loves giving that to her clients now. She has learned that using your eyes, skin tone, and face shape as guides, you are able to create a cut and colour that enhance and compliment your features.
Caitlyn began school at The Academy of Cosmetology Arts in 2017 and shortly after began our in-salon apprenticeship program. As well as learning from our expert stylists, while working at Colours she has participated in haircutting education from R+Co, Hatori Hanzo, and Bumble and Bumble, and hair colour education from Wella and All Nutrient. She has also assisted Paul and attended classes at The American Board of Certified Haircolorists Summit in LA. Caitlyn especially love balayage and blonding, but is happy to use her knowledge and experience to help you achieve the best hair possible.
Chaundra has been in the beauty industry as a makeup artist for 14 years, most of that time spent working in New York. She graduated with her esthetics license from The Academy of Cosmetology Arts in 2018 and her full Cosmetology license at the end of 2019. She remembers showing an interest in hair as a kid when she was determined to learn how to braid her own hair, because her mom didn’t know how. She specializes in helping clients with seasonal colour changes and natural-looking colours. As a curly haired person herself, she loves helping bring the best out of others’ curls. After apprenticing at Colours for a year, Chaundra is excited to be on the floor and put all that she has learned to good use.
