Paul has been doing hair for 41 years, since graduating from the National Beauty College in Ohio. His interest in the hair industry stemmed from an interest in architecture, and a love of fashion and design. Paul is a “Subject Matter Expert” with and sits on the Board of Directors of the American Certified Board of Certified Hair Colorists (haircolorist.com), and is committed to education, both inside and outside of our salon. He is an expert colourist, and especially enjoys all hair colour challenges.

She specializes in updos, special occasion & wedding styles, and balayage. Since being in the beauty industry, she has found that when you look in the mirror and like what you see, you become empowered to take on the world and do what you were meant to do, and she loves helping facilitate that for her clients. She enjoys using all of the tools she has gathered to give her clients the best look for their natural features, desired maintenance and lifestyles.
Since graduating from the Salon Professional Academy in Ohio in 2010, Jen has completed hair colour education from Wella and Redken, Grund Razor Advanced training, curly hair training, participates in ongoing training from Vidal Sassoon in precision cutting, is an educator for All Nutrient, and is an American Board Certified Haircolorist (haircolorist.com). As Jen always says, “Good hair makes your jeans fit better.”
Amanda graduated from the Port Charlotte Tech Center in Charlotte, Florida in 2004. She specializes in French haircutting and is balayage and ombre certified by Nancy Braun, and has had extensive training in Kerastase products and couture styling. She enjoys utilizing her knowledge and training to transform someone’s entire look, and also loves Bridal & special occasion styling! When she was in high school, she was always drawn to art and she was able to transform and channel her artistic and creative nature into hair cutting, colouring, and styling. Her experience has taught her that the most important skill that she can have as a stylist is the ability to really listen to her clients, and understand what they are envisioning for their hair.
Bethany completed our in-salon hair colour and hair cutting apprenticeship program after graduating from Regency Beauty Institute in Fort Collins at the beginning of 2015. She continues to further her knowledge through in-salon cutting and colouring classes, product training through Oribe and Kerastase, and The Best of the Best hair show in Denver. While she was growing up, she started to do her friend’s and family’s hair and makeup for special events, and she noticed the boost in confidence and self-love that it gave them, and she loves giving that to her clients now. She has learned that using your eyes, skin tone, and face shape as guides, you are able to create a cut and colour that enhance and compliment your features.
Angela started at Colours as a guest services team member in 2005, and worked as an apprentice with us while she was in school at the Academy of Cosmetology Arts in Denver. After graduating in 2006, she continued working with us as a stylist and eventually chose to stop cutting hair so she could focus her training and ongoing education solely on hair colour. She is an American Board Certified Hair Colorist, and has also completed Loreal Balayage training, Wella colour education, and Oribe behind the Chair education. She originally studied art and has always been interested in fashion, and she loves that her art form now is ever changing, and helps people to feel good. She specializes in all hair colour, but has a soft spot for natural red heads, since she is one and she “gets it”. A piece of wisdom that she has learned in her time in the hair industry is that if you have good hair and good shoes, everything else will fall in to place.
Shortly after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Tucson in 2012, Amelia moved to Colorado and began the new stylist hair colour and cutting education program we have at Colours. She has since completed a 3 day intensive women’s cutting class with Sally Rogerson, the Creative Coloring and Cutting Class with Unite, and several technical colour classes with Wella and All Nutrient. She loves highlighting hair and specializes in natural, blended blondes. She also loves texturizing and personally tailoring women’s cuts to give a unique style. She has learned that taking good care of your hair, and getting a cut and colour that are well suited to you and your lifestyle makes life so much easier.
After traveling the world and experiencing the magic backstage at New York Fashion Week, Jill was inspired to learn to cut hair, and went to the Aveda Institute in SoHo, New York to learn the craft. Since graduating in 2006, she has continued her education through trainings with Kerastase and Oribe, and an advanced workshop with Orlando Pita, Luigi Moreno, and Odile Gilbert. Jill is our haircut specialist, and is an expert in listening to what her client’s goals are with their hair, and giving them a cut that is both flattering and conducive to their lifestyle. Not only does she specialize in cutting, she also specializes in Bridal and special occasion hair, editorial work, extensions, and anti-frizz and deep conditioning treatments.
Emily grew up in a salon atmosphere with her grandma and always enjoyed playing with hair, so cosmetology school was a natural step for her. She graduated from Regency Beauty Institute in 2012, and has since become an American Board Certified Hair Colorist. She has completed Sunlights Balayage training, Bumble & Bumble hair styling training, and Wella hair colour training. She enjoys both colouring and cutting, and especially loves doing blondes and bobs! Her goal is always to make sure her clients never have a bad hair day.
Cielle is currently in our in-salon apprenticeship program, and is set to graduate from Academy of Cosmetology Arts in April 2018. In her year at Colours, she has attended the American Board of Certified Hair Colorists conference, The Best of the Best conference, the All Nutrient Showcase, and has participated in trainings from Kerastase, Oribe, Wella, and All-Nutrient. She was inspired to go to cosmetology school because she loves to help people feel good about themselves. Since she is new to the industry, she is excited and enjoying exploring all of the different elements of doing hair, and she has discovered that she has a knack for wet-sets. She has learned so many tips and tricks in her time at Colours, most notably that a good scalp massage goes a long way.
Sam has been in the salon/spa industry since 2012, and loves working in a creative and fast paced environment. She is a photographer and appreciates being able to come to work and be surrounded and inspired by other artists. She enjoys working at Colours because of the supportive and empowering women she works with, and loves being able to change her haircut and colour with her mood.
Gaby recently graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in psychology, and she has a German Shepherd that she adores. She believes that self-confidence is the gateway to success and seeing clients leave feeling a little more confident than when they walked in brings her so much joy. She loves working at Colours because of our team and the way we have become a family (and the hair treatments & color don’t hurt, either).
Emily is the newest member of our team, and is currently studying psychology at CU Boulder. She was drawn to the upbeat and creative environment of Colours, and loves the way our staff is supportive and encouraging of one another.
